10 Signs You Are Resisting Temptation and Foolishness
As we go about our day, it is important to resist the devil and put away foolish ways. The Bible tells us in James 4:7 to "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." In addition, Proverbs 3:7 reminds us to not be wise in our own eyes and to fear the Lord.
Some of you may struggle with the temptation of going back to your old ways. As we seek our dear Father God for protection daily, let us take time to recognize what we can do to grow in faith. Here are ten signs you are resisting temptation and foolishness:
You consistently turn away from sin and choose righteousness - James 4:7
You surround yourself with positive influences and avoid negative influences - Proverbs 13:20
You pray for strength and wisdom in the face of temptation - 1 Corinthians 10:13
You take responsibility for your actions and seek forgiveness when you fall short - 1 John 1:9
You prioritize God's will over your own desires - Matthew 26:39
You keep yourself accountable to others and seek support when needed - James 5:16
You focus on the eternal rewards of obedience rather than the temporary pleasures of sin - Hebrews 11:25
You actively resist the devil and his schemes - Ephesians 6:11
You guard your heart and mind with the truth of God's word - Psalm 119:11
You live in the freedom that Christ has given you rather than being enslaved to sin - Galatians 5:1

Pray and ask God for forgiveness and guidance each morning.
Read and meditate on scripture.
Surround ourselves with positive influences and avoid situations that may lead to temptation.

May God bless you and guide you on your journey to resist the devil and put away foolish ways.
