Discovering Strength and Greatness Through God's Word: 'The S(word)'
Good morning, everyone! This Thursday morning, I wanted to take a moment to talk about the power and strength that can be found in God. This is through his word or what I call 'The S(word) of God.' Life can be difficult, and we can often feel overwhelmed and challenged. But no matter what, we can always turn to God for guidance and protection. He is always here for us, watching over us and showing us the way.
Throughout our lives, it is important to remember that God is always with us. He is the source of our strength and greatness. He can help us overcome whatever obstacles we may face and guide us on the path to success. When we find ourselves in tough times, we must remember to turn to God and rely on his power and grace.
We must use his s(word). Here are some scriptures from the Bible that can be used for spiritual protection:
Psalm 91:11 – “For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.” Psalm 121:7-8 – “The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.” 2 Thessalonians 3:3 – “But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.”
Let us take a moment this Thursday to reflect on the loving presence of God in our lives. Let us be thankful for his guidance and protection, and let us draw strength and courage from his power. May we all find our strength and greatness in God today, and every day.
Will you pray with me?
Dear Father God,
We humbly come to you this Thursday morning.
We say thank you for waking us up.
Teach us to ask you each day: how can I serve you?
Allow us to no longer seek outside validation.
Let us stand firm in knowing that
‘Greater is He who is in us,
Than he who is in the world.’ (1 John 4:4)
Forgive us, as we forgive.
Give us strength today.
In Jesus’ name, we pray.
Amen.
