Harness Discernment & Discretion: God Orders Our Steps
Happy Monday! This week, let us focus on using discernment and discretion when making decisions or navigating through our lives. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 14:15,
"The naive believes everything, but the wise person considers his steps."
Discernment is the ability to think through a situation and make wise decisions, while discretion is the ability to not share information or do something you know could hurt someone. They each lend themselves to the lessons we learned last week about watching our mouths.
Let us grow to find quiet moments each day to reflect on how well we are controlling the things we want to do or say that may not be helpful for our wellbeing. This is all done through consistently connecting to what God is saying every step of the way. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 20:24 AMP,
Man's steps are ordered and ordained by the LORD. How then can a man [fully] understand his way?
