We often find ourselves in situations where we are faced with difficult decisions and tough choices. In these moments, it can be tempting to rely solely on our own understanding and knowledge to guide us. However, the Bible teaches us the importance of not leaning on our own understanding.
Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." This verse reminds us that we should put our trust in God and submit to His will, rather than relying solely on our own limited understanding.
Similarly, Isaiah 55:8-9 says, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the Lord. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts." This passage emphasizes that God's understanding is far greater than our own, and we should seek His guidance and wisdom in all things.
In closing, the Bible teaches us to trust in God and rely on His understanding, rather than our own. By submitting to His will and seeking His guidance, we can find peace and direction in even the most difficult situations.
Will you pray with me today?
Dear Father God,
We honor you this Wednesday morning.
You are worthy to be praised.
We pray that not our will
But your will be done today.
Keep us and our loved ones at peace
As we carry out your perfect will for our lives.
We bind the devil on every hand.
Send us home rejoicing
At the wonders of who you are.
In Jesus’ name, we pray.
Amen.
Best regards,
Ya Rose
