Nurturing the Soul: A Midweek Reflection on God's Guidance 🌿
The words we speak hold immense power. Let's heed the guidance of the Bible to speak life into every situation we encounter. By choosing our words wisely, we can bring positivity, encouragement, and grace into the lives of those around us.
Bible Verses to Guide Our Speech:
1. "Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer." - Psalm 19:14
2. "A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." - Proverbs 15:1
3. "Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear." - Ephesians 4:29
4. "Those who guard their mouths and their tongues keep themselves from calamity." - Proverbs 21:23
5. "So also the tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great things. How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire! And the tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life, and set on fire by hell." - James 3:5-6Â
A Prayer for Mindful Speech:
Dear Father God, We come to you this Wednesday with honor. Thank you for waking us up today. Thank you for your many blessings this week so far. As we prepare for this day, We ask that you help us watch our mouths. Help us speak life to every situation we may go through. Guard our speech. All these things and more we pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.Â
May the rest of your week be filled with moments of reflection, gratitude, and the transformative power of positive speech.
Warm regards,
Ya Rose
