Recognizing and Showing Gratitude for Blessings
As we continue our journey through the year, it is important to take time to recognize the many blessings we have in our lives. We often take for granted the people, places, and things that make up our lives, so it is important to take a step back and count our blessings. The Bible encourages us in this quest:
“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” (James 1:17)
Take time to reflect on the things in your life that you are grateful for - your family, friends, health, job, education, and so many other things. Here are some suggestions for ways to practice showing gratitude for your blessings:
Write a thank-you note or an email to someone you are grateful for.
