Resting in God: Finding Peace and Strength in His Presence
As we embark on this new week and day, let us pause and turn our hearts towards the restful embrace of our Heavenly Father.
In Matthew 11:28-30, Jesus invites us, saying, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Let us heed His call and find solace in His promise of rest.
In Psalm 62:5-8, David reminds us, "Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge."
Today, let us relinquish our worries, fears, and burdens into the hands of our faithful God. Let us trust in His unfailing love and find peace in His presence.
And as we rest in Him, let us pray:
Dear Father God, We thank you for watching over us this weekend. You are our peace and we acknowledge our strength and joy is from you. Take down any idols in our hearts and help us put you above it all. Watch over us and our loved ones today as we serve you. Please forgive us of our sins And help us forgive those who sinned against us. We pray Your will, not our will today. It is in Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Blessings,
Ya Rose
