Step Into God's Word: Command Your Day
The Book of Proverbs is one of the most empowering books of the Bible. It contains wisdom and knowledge that can help us make wise decisions and guide us to a life of joy and peace. One of the most important themes in the book of Proverbs is the idea of ordering our steps in the word of God. Proverbs 16:9 says:
"A man's heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps".
When we submit our lives to the Lord we can be assured that He will order our steps in His will and grant us success in the things we do. We can trust that He will never leave us or forsake us, but will always be with us, guiding us in the right direction.
In last Thursday’s post, we talked about the power we have through the Holy Spirit to command our days. I encourage you to read that post after this one to deepen your understanding of commanding your day.
Here are eight tips from the Bible about commanding our days in God’s will:
Seek God’s will: “Commit your works to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” (Proverbs 16:3)
Pray: “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.” (Philippians 4:6)
