The Art of Witnessing about Jesus
Happy Friday! As we journey into this weekend, let's delve into a topic close to our hearts—witnessing for Jesus. Join me in exploring the transformative power of sharing His love, guided by the wisdom found within the sacred pages of the Bible.
1. The Call to Witness:
Reflect on the call to be witnesses, as echoed in Acts 1:8 - "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."
2. The Joy of Sharing His Word:
Discover the joy of spreading the Gospel. Proverbs 11:30 reminds us, "The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and whoever captures souls is wise."
3. Be Prepared with His Word:
Equip yourself with the Word to share His love effectively. 1 Peter 3:15 encourages us, "But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you."
4. Prayers for Witnessing:
If you ever find yourself sharing the message of Jesus and feel the need for a prayer to help someone accept Him, the premise is to acknowledge that you are a sinner who is in need of a savior. Ask for forgiveness. Accept Jesus is that savior. You believe that Jesus came to earth and died and rose from the dead. Through him paying the ulitmate sacrifice and overcoming death through him you are now saved. As long as you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord you are saved.
Let's unite in prayer:
Dear Father God, We thank you for bringing us through another week. We pray not our will but Your will be done. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sinned against us. We thank you for your grace and provision you’ve provided all month long. Keep us away from temptation. Help us witness about how great you are. Send us home rejoicing in the wonders of who you are. It is in Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
May this journey into the Scriptures inspire us to embrace the divine calling of sharing the love and greatness of our Lord Jesus Christ.
In His Love,
Ya Rose
